Today ends the first trimester. Report cards will be given to parents who are current in their tuition payments at the Parent/Teacher/ Student Conferences on November 19 and 20. A form giving your scheduled times for the conferences is being sent home with this letter today. Every effort was made to give you your first choice of time for conferences. We ask that you be on time for your conferences. Thank you.
Next Saturday afternoon is very special for most of our seventh and eighth grade students and their families. Bishop Rojas will confer the sacrament of Confirmation on the students during the 4:00 Mass. Following the Mass there will be a reception in the school hall. There will be practice for the confirmandi and their sponsors on Wednesday evening at 7:00 in the church. Please pray that these young men and women will open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit as they commit to living the Catholic faith for the rest of their lives.
The items ordered from the Charleston Wrap brochures as part of the fall fundraiser will be delivered on Monday. We do not know the time. If you places a large order, you might want to plan on getting the items on Tuesday.
Tuition for the month of November is due on Thursday. All General Service Fees and Noon Supervision Fees should be paid as well.

In Sunday's Gospel we meet some scribes-experts in the law- making a great show of their prayers in the Temple, parading about in their robes so that everyone will be sure to see them. We also see some rich people making a great show of dropping their money into the Temple treasury box, Then, in sharp contrast to the show-offs, a poor and prayerful widow goes to the box and drops in tow copper coins.
Jesus tells us that the poor widow's offering is the greatest of all. The two copper coins are all the money she has to live on. She prays humbly and gives away everything, putting all her trust in God. We should take the widow for our model, praising God without calling attention to ourselves an giving generously of our principal rather than of our excess.
COME TO MASS ON SUNDAY AND FOCUS ON GIVING OF YOURSELF TO GOD.
